PHX-ANC fly through PDX or SEA?

which airport is better for connections?

Portland is more pleasant in my opinion. Seattle has become quite crowded and the connecting gates can be much further apart

Assuming Alaska Airlines? I'd pick Seattle because there are so many more SEA-ANC flights daily so in the event of misconnection your options are far greater.

It’s about what you want.

how much of a layover? If you miss connection They just shuttle you to Seattle.

Deatyle will have far more people since most AS connections have moved to go thru SEA.

PDX is vastly superior to connect in, from a passenger perspective. SEA has more flights, but is also much more prone to ATC and tarmac delays. If you choose SEA give yourself a minimum of an hour on the ground.
