Most seem to have got nothing out of the effort. Even the people I know to fly in and out of EZE a lot and have elite status with AA and UA and Hilton got nothing out of the attempt. I assume the same holds true for me too, but I haven't cared to check very recently since I just assumed I'm in the same boat to nowhere in this regard.

It's a bit odd that Hilton was one of the hotel chains listed in the initial announcement, yet the Hilton in BsAs reflagged several years ago. Other hotel chains seem to be relatively more prominent in Argentina, such as Hyatt (with two PHs in the country, including a very prestigious property that's highly respected by the locals in BsAs) and Starwood (two Sheratons and a LC in BsAs, although the Sheraton in the part on the Argentina side of the Falls has reflagged).
