UA Points on SAA (QF codeshare)
Ive seached the threads and cant find the answer..... Ive travelled SYD - JHB- CPT on QF (sold as SA)... My UA account has been credited the JNB-CPT sector.... (which was on SA metal).... Has anyone ever had any trouble getting the Star Allianace points when travelling this route on Qantas metal , but SA ticktet ?

I think you have to ask over at UA MP for that...
Most of the time it would say that credit is only permissible on flights with Star alliance flight number operated by another Star Alliance carrier with the exception of UA flight numbers on anyone they codeshare with... (do they even have a partnership like that?).
So best for you to ask this over at UA MP forum.

I think you're out of luck on this one, sorry. In gneral, don't expect UA miles to post on a *Alliance flight operated by a rival alliance - unless there's some sort of bilateral arrangement. And believe me, UA and QF do not have such an arrangement. Next time, take the SAA flight from Perth.
