Kimpton multiple night pricing: bug?

I'm fairly new to the world of Kimpton and am seeing something I haven't often seen on other hotel and hotel chain websites: multiple night stays sometimes price as a simple multiple of the rate shown on the availability calendar for the first night, rather than as the sum of the rates shown for the nights of interest.

Example: 16 to 19 April at the Eventi. The calendar shows those three nights priced at $348, $297 and $297. If I make make three separate bookings I will pay those prices. If I make one booking for the first night and a second for the final two nights I will also pay those prices. But if I select all three and try to make a single booking the total price is 3 x $348.

I can't replicate this for all Kimpton hotels and dates and am wondering whether it's a bug or a standard Kimpton thing that I need to watch out for. Can anyone shed any light on the matter?

I have often seen weird things with Kimpton pricing, but it's not always this simple. Sometimes it seems to be a different night during the stay that bumps the price up. You may get a better rate by splitting into multiple reservations.

I sometimes split multiple night stays into different reservations for exactly this reason. I almost always check both the multi-night reservation and the separate days because sometimes there's a big difference.

Thank you both. I'll be sure to check different combinations when booking (and will revisit my existing reservations just in case).

Call. The lovely reservation staff will make it all right, on one reservation.

I've seen this as well (to some substantially different rates in NYC). It never hurts to have multiple reservations in hopes of landing extra stay credits!
