Inter-line connections
I've never done an inter-line connection before. So, tell me if this is the smartest way. I'm taking a Korean flight from Hong Kong to Seoul. Korean arrives at Intl. Terminal 1 at 1330. I'm connecting to a Thai flight for Taipei which leaves at 1800 out of Intl. Terminal 2.
So, do I check my baggage to Seoul as my "final" destination when I'm in Hong Kong. Then claim my baggage and go thru immigration/customs at Seoul after the Korean flight, then run over to Terminal 2, check-in at Thai, go thru immigration again, and pay the "departure" tax?
Is there an easier way to do inter-line connections?
Thanks.

As far as I know, Korean Air arrives at International Passenger Terminal 2 not 1. Thai is on Terminal 1. I don't think the airport charge departure tax for stop over passgengers, but you need to check both Korean Air and Thai.
