Connecting to Bangkok Air from QR in BKK
Hi.
I am connecting onto Bangkok Air to Siem Ream from Bangkok next week, arriving on Qatar from Doha. My questions are:
1. Will we be able to check our luggage through to Siem Reap from Doha, so as to avoid having to clear immigration and customs in BKK?
2. Does Bangkok Airways have an online check in, or do we have to get our boarding pass at BKK?
3. Is there a smoking area at BKK
Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are smoking rooms on the 2nd (arrival) floor of the international concourses but none that I'm aware of on the 3rd (departure) floor. That means if you're in the lounge you'll need to re-clear transfer security each time you have a smoke.

There are smoking rooms in the international departure level (They are at the bus gates eg C1A or D1A etc). Just no smoking in the domestic area

I had no problems PG checking my bags thru to QR, so the other way around should be no problem.
You will have to visit the PG transfer desk to add your bag into the system, just show em your QR tag.

I had forgotten about the rooms adjacent to the bus gates. Funny thing is I was reminded about them just two days ago when we were given C1A for BKK-NRT adn the stench was lingering a good 50m from the room.
There used to be a smoking area in the domestic food court. up to 2008/09 (probably) there was a balcony area that was subsequently closed in.
