Combining the HP and US Forums
Hi Randy --
I just want to take a moment to thank you for these most informative boards. They have been VERY enlightening over the past few years.
I have a quick suggestion: please merge the HP and US forums into a single US forum. It's just getting a little confusing as to where to post. I've noticed that the moderators are having to combine a number of threads because they are cross-posted in both forums.
Thanks for providing these very informative boards. My frequent flyer miles are accumulating quickly because of them.

Compliment accepted on behalf of the many members of FlyerTalk that make it such an informative place.
Actually we've had discussions about the merger - which BTW looks like the merger of the accounts won't happen until first part of May. We're likely to be following the AirFrance/KLM Flying Blue model in that we'll create a new forum for the merged programs and then feature the two current forums as sub-forums. The reason as we found out with Air France/KLM is that there tends to be a vast difference in the types of members of both programs and we want to respect that but still offer a combined forum for the future.
Having said that i'd like to hear more of your thoughts.
P.S. You can see what i'm talking about by visiting the Flying Blue forum:

Again thanks.

formeraa - I do know this issue was raised within Talk Board Jan 4, and discussion has been updated there a few times since.
As Randy points out the KLM/Air France precedent to handle this situation seems to have worked nicely.
