Randy... How Do I Contact You?
Randy,
Over the past several months, I have sent you several important emails. I have sent them to your email address you have listed in your profile.
However, to this day I have received no response to any of them.
Is there a different email address I should be using or is [email protected] the correct one?
Of course, you could just be ignoring me...

He might be ignoring all of us!
Seriously though, I too have not gotten any replies. I thought it might be that Randy's getting too many "Timeout for FewMiles, please"
messages and so he's too busy to reply.
FewMiles..

That happened to me, too, but I just figured he's busy. I don't take it personally. There could be any number of legitimate reasons you have not received a response. He may never have received your e-mails, if the computer interprets them as spam. He may get hundreds of e-mails daily.

Julie came up on stage to assist Randy at the end of the event, as Randy presented a retrospective on frequent flyer advertising. I think he was using Chase ads for the Continental credit card... I forget the first ad. The second ad showed roses with the caption, "Was he sorry, or was it the miles?" And the third and final ad showed a diamond ring with the caption, "Was it love or was it the miles?"
Randy said "It was love" and proposed. Julie said yes.

Randy hasn't spoken much of it on this board, AFAIK, but I don't think he's married yet.

Just his "Ask Randy" piece would generate a big email volume is my guess.
I understand that Flyertalk is but a small part of Randy's business world. I guess someone wanting an urgent paid consultation report on airline/hotel related stuff, time dated press interviews and set-in-cement Inside Flyer deadlines etc, and business travel sometimes take clear precedence on his available time.
I very seldom email Randy. Sometimes he is able to grab a moment to reply, and sometimes not. That's fine with me, and I understand fully.
Possibly what I emailed about was mentally noted and taken on board even if a direct reply was not able to be made. And more than once I am sure he hit the delete button.

If you have general board business, consider emailing [email protected].
IIRC House of Miles staff rotate checking that account. Sometimes whomever is on duty can address or solve a problem directly. Or if it's important and they can't, you have an inside person to ensure that the question gets in front of Randy.
I also recall Randy saying that when he travels he no longer brings a laptop and checks email. So the hundreds of emails a day he receives are compounded and can become thousands.
I echo the advice of clear, concise messages. Add links with summaries. Make a suggestion if appropriate. And be clear as to what followup and reply might be necessary.

OK Gang,
I posted here because I have not been able to reach Randy.
Guess I was not looking for comments on why he may not be responding.
I understand his business... as he articulated when he asked me to join the Talkboard. My messages to him have been very concise... and I would honestly expect that if my questions relate to the Talkboard, I should have received a response by now.
I am honestly waiting for Randy to respond. It is obvious he reads this forum... so he will see this message. He can either respond publicly or privately.

I've sent Randy a couple of e-mails over the last years and never received a reply. I just figured that he had a pretty heavy volume of mail to look at and just moved on.
I do however, suggest that he implement an autoresponder of some kind so that people know what to expect when they send him an e-mail. Randy's public personna seems to indicate he wants input from each and every one of us, but that is clearly not possible given the size of the board.

Thanks for the input and I have now dug out some of the unresponded mail mentioned here. Turns out it was unread as well - I'll offer up no excuse other than what has been stated before. I've thought of the auto-responder, but given the attention to spam, think that unwise as it means my account is active and things would just bounce back and forth increasing an already unmanageable burden on my email volume.
As always, "that gary guy" has a pretty good idea.
wharvey, FewMiles and birdstrike (only found one email from you) - you'll have email within 24 hours.
Again, thanks for the input, it does help.

Randy emailed me (unsolicited I might add) back in October of 2003 promising to help me with a legal problem I was having with an airline. I then emailed him back and he promised to "red flag" my case so he would get back to me after Thanksgiving. Of course I heard nothing after Thanksgiving so I sent at least three emails requesting his assistance. Well here it is mid April and still no reply.
