Hey! I have an idea! How about we have a requirement that says you have to have 100 posts that contribute to the "points and miles" reason we're all ostensibly here before you're allowed to post in OMNI (random bull**** in the hotsauce thread excluded, natch)?

That would have neatly filtered the "valuable" members mentioned in the alluded to in the unending stream-of-consciousness above without anyone's feelings getting hurt.

Just a thought.

So, despite demonstrating that folks can be openly CALLED 'fascist' with impunity, (repeatedly and indignantly denied by at least skofarrell until I posted, and who has now selectively taken the Fifth. coff. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif ) it seems that being called that and a long list of other TOS violations is the grounds for a month ban, whilst those using those terms are free to post with impunity. Interesting logic. Like the cops charging a shooting victim with 'using a weapon unlawfully'. So much for the TOS.

My guess is that such action won't happen for two reasons:

1. My bet is that Randy will back the fine job and methods used by the OMNI mods. Again.

and

2. It remove the ability of certain parties to rant, rave, compare OMNI mods to Eastern European dictators, and campaign on behalf of "fallen comrades" who were oppressed in secret by the "OMNI dictators" and so forth.

Taking it to Randy would defeat the purpose RE: #2. For those who insist on continuing this nonesense public spin is far more important than the results which could be achieved by actually "taking it to the man."
