Thank you.

This Forum was closed before as posters unknown to me started a bunch of threads here replicating genuine over the top and outrageous back-stabbing comments from the Moderators board (from you included) and persons hacked several user passwords. Randy knows and accepts I had nothing whatever to do with either, or had no knowledge of either. So please edit your erroneous allegation. Thank you.

If anyone was "stirring up trouble" it might possibly have been member called robb, who IIRC graciously threatened Randy in this very Forum he was allegedly leading a mass walk out of 10-20 Moderators unless the mods Forum was re-instated.

I am interested to note you have posted here more than I on a % basis if SPN Lifer data above is correct and I have no reason to believe it is not.
*SIGH*

You seem to be confused about your outbursts. I was referring to the time when the Only Randy Petersen Forum was taken away, not to the time when you maliciously posted information from a private forum that you had no right to view, let alone publish.

Also, this is the second time that you have accused me of "leading a mass walk-out of moderators," which is another hallucination and/or fabrication of yours. All I did was tell Randy what I was hearing, so that he knew what morale was like as we suffered unwarranted attack after unwarranted attack by you. No leading, no revolution, no luck at slinging more mud at me.

However, I have reviewed the archives and notice that you were actually banned at the time of that particular ORP outburst and closure, and with my deepest apologies will edit that post. Perhaps you'd care to do the same with your long list of false allegations against me these past 2 weeks?

Thanks!

I'm confused - I thought that ozstamps published stuff from the Moderator forum in ORP before that cluster**** that followed. Am I remembering incorrectly? In that post Robb quoted above, he seems to say that it was some other folks.

To be clear - I'm talking about the "most divisive FT problem ever" that he started a few months ago, not the new "most divisive FT problem ever" that he started in May.

Just trying to get my players straight.

I am interested to note you have posted here more than I on a % basis if SPN Lifer's data above is correct and I have no reason to believe it is not.
Again I want to apologize for my technical mis-step. As noted at the conclusion of my unedited post, the percentage in my table is the number of threads posted to (not the total number of posts) in the ORP Forum as a Percentage of Total Posts.

I simply ran out of time to do it again properly. I want to give my very hearty thanks to Counsellor for his follow-through in executing and expanding on my original concept. I think everyone here can do the math without needing to comment further on it.

To no one in particular: Please don't air grudges and dirty laundry so prominently and persistently.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

No Jeremy, ozstamps was only innocent in a problem from 2002 in which the Only Randy Petersen forum was closed for about 9 months. I'm pretty sure he was banned for life at the time that problem occurred, and couldn't possibly have been responsible (nor did I see any user handles that were known or suspected to be duplicate handles he was known to post under while banned). I want to again offer ozstamps my deepest apologies for besmirching his name by associating him with that mess.

You're referring to the time the moderator forum was briefly taken off-line while Randy worked to ensure its security. In that case, yes, ozstamps did post private communications to which he was not a party, and has never issued an apology to my knowledge.

robb and JeremyZ.

I am assuming neither of you has read the announcment at the top of this forum??

After reading robb's last 2 posts they can only mean to me he has not. But as always, I could be wrong. Just in case they have not seen this - for the record, it says:

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen:

As an update, I was out traveling three days last week followed by two days of vacation. I'm sorry I wasn't here to attend to some of your most pressing needs. This week I'm on a really, really tight deadline with the magazine and it sure would be appreciated if a few of you could grow up just for a few more days until I can get in here and see who needs their diapers changed, their bottles warmed and who needs to be sent to their room. For most of you, please continue to post as you will and thanks for your support of FlyerTalk, for the other small few of you, it's very hard to thank you for acting your age.

Thanks robb for agreeing to edit out all your erroneous info about myself.

As to the balance of robb's last 2 posts, others can make of those diatribes what they will. Not my call.

Thank goodness.

This table attempts to compare a couple of things what percentage of the threads on ORP a particular poster has posted to, and (where available) what are the average number of posts he/she makes to the threads he/she posts to. For example:

Counsellor has posted on 51 of the 1000 threads for an average of 5.1% of the ORP threads, and with 91 total posts on those 51 threads averages 1.8 posts per thread (ppt) he posts on.

ozstamps = 26.9% @ 3.4 ppt
doc = 25.3% @ 2.0 ppt

Rudi = 15.3% @ 1.7 ppt
ScottC = 14.6% @ 2.6 ppt
FewMiles = 14.0% @ 1.8 ppt
Punki = 11.3% @ 3.3 ppt
Gaucho100K = 11.1% @ 1.7 ppt
gleff = 10.6% @ 1.9 ppt

PremEx = 9.3% @ 1.7 ppt
skofarrell = 8.0% @ 3.6 ppt
CameraGuy = 8.0% @ 3.1 ppt
anonplz = 7.8% @ 3.6 ppt
rssrsvp = 7.8% @ 1.7 ppt
Catman = 6.8% @ 1.8 ppt
robb = 6.5% @ 2.4 ppt
attorney28 = 6.3% @ 4.1 ppt
SPN Lifer = 5.9% @ 2.8 ppt
cblaisd = 5.8% @ 1.9 ppt
NJDavid = 5.7% @ 2.5 ppt
Counsellor = 5.1% @ 1.8 ppt

ClueByFour = 4.9% @ 2.4 ppt
dovester = 4.8% @ 5.0 ppt
jfe = 3.9% @ 3.7 ppt
arturo = 3.6% @ 2.6 ppt

Caveats:
- Nothing is intended or implied by this statistical table; its just interesting to me.
- My math may be wrong, so no guarantees (if someone spots an error, PM me and Ill fix it or delete the information objected to).
- The statistics can change from day to day, radically so when a person only posts on a few threads.
- The statistics (like all averages) may be misleading, since a person involved in one intense thread may post a high PPT while having a low overall average PPT, and vice versa.
- This does not consider when people were posting. For instance, NJDavid hasn't been posting recently, so if the percentage figures only took into consideration the time he was active they would be different; similarly, dovster has been here for less than one year, so if you considered only the threads active since he joined, his "percentage" statistics would also be much different.
- This table is not complete, being a non-random non-sample.
- Again, nothing intended or implied, and if anyone has any heartburn, let me know.

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you.

I tended to leave folks who posted on only a few threads off of the calculations, since the results wouldn't be very meaningful. For instance, a person who posted to only ten threads (1%), but got very involved in those discussions, might have a PPT of 10 or more, but that wouldn't have the same meaning as a person who routinely posted in (say) 20% of the threads with the same PPT.

However, since you asked, by my calculations:

HigherFlyer = 1.5% @ 7.0 ppt

If I follow the idea correctly, I am at 4.5% of threads and 1.7 posts per thread posted to. I don't know what to make of it, but it's a fascinating statistic. Thanks for the idea, SPNLifer and Counsellor!

So that means I posted on aproximately 15 threads.
And either I posted to each of them aproximately seven times,
Or I posted to aproximately twelve of them once or twice,
and aproximately three where I couldn't keep my mouth shut.

If I had retained any of the knowledge from my college statistics course some 30 years ago, I might be able to make sense out of all these numbers (noting I'm not on the list)

Lightbulb Wowser!!

As I peruse your list, Counsellor, it amazes me to note the high percentage of folks thereon who I know for a fact have IQs well into the genius level--there are others about whom I do not know for sure, but have very strong suspicions.

Even when we/they disagree, it is absolutely fascinating and, in its own way edifying, to note that we have such a substantial brain trust tracking the pulse of FlyerTalk. I believe that that has contributed substantially to the explosion/growth/survival/balance and even sometimes the pain and suffereing of FT over the past six years.

Odd little corner of the WWW.

(bolding mine)

I didn't know you had access to so many people's IQ scores. Could you provide a link, please? I'm curious too. (Assuming this doesn't raise further talk about Invasion of Privacy and FT TOS blah blah blah.)

Thanks,

FewMiles..

Well, I wonder why a highly intelligent person would resort to anonymous mass-dinging and dinging under false names.

@:-) Actually, Few Miles, you are right, I only know what I am told and have not seen the actual scores, but I am a trusting soul and tend to believe what most people tell me. Even if it turns out that I am only right about the 12% that I am sure I am right about, that is still a very high percentage. Toss in the "suspects" and it is an amazingly high percentage.

You, BTW, Few Miles are at the very top of my list of suspects.
