Timeout?

This thread is getting a little heated and I personally don't appreciate the personal attacks being made by PineyBob against Quiet Lion. I know neither gentlemen, and I may be using the term loosely, but I find PineyBob's antics to be way out of line.

I think someone needs a timeout.

You may wish to email Randy or a moderator directly...

I have read that thread and kept up on it... and I would say that there might be a few people who deserve a timeout... not just one.

Someone called someone else a troll in a round-a-bout way... so we have to be careful how we read the thread.

Thanks. I've tried to clean up the differnces that PineyBob and QL have in this thread so that it remains alive for members to post to. When possible (and sometimes it is not), I'd rather try to edit the noise so that the signal survives. I'll work at it a little later but i think it's a little better now. I'm sorry that you and other members were interupted.

Cheers,
Randy

Hey Randy - hope I'm not making too much light of an annoying situation, but I'm lovin' the edits/commentary you're making these last couple of days.

Hysterical. Funny how the mood brightens as the first days of the season approach (6 inches fresh at BC/BG).

Thank you very much, Randy, I know how much harder that selective form of moderation is as opposed to just locking or moving threads. I also know that it takes a lot more of your precious time. I know how very busy you are and truly appreciate your making this extra effort to make FlyerTalk an even more pleasant place to hang out in cyberspace.

Thanks, Randy.

But I'm not sure the message got through. One of the offenders has now posted an apology that isn't.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I don't see where the apology was ever directed at QL in the first place.

Since my reading of the apology was for the strength of his opinion, and had nothing to do with any of his comments directed at QuietLion, I fail to see how this comment is particularly constructive in either instance.

In it was VERY FAR from an apology telling someone anywhere " I wouldnt piss in your mouth if you were on fire.." should be deemed offensive to all and a real apology for that statement alone should be demanded by all on these boards including those here who find the need to defend the individual.

Moderator flipside has now edited out the flame portion of the post I mentioned above. Thank you.

IMHO, anyone making such an inflammatory post should be banned from FT. That is beyond the pale.

But we who take offense at such things are not making constructive comments.

And a thumbs up also to Randy because it seems like the recent posts to the thread are more substantive and less personal.
