In the past, you have defended similar actions.
I just wanted to clarify that you had changed your position.

Thanks for the laugh, CameraGuy. That was a real "When did you stop beating your wife?" statement.
Beyond its amusement value, however, your statement mystifies me. Anyone who knows me even vaguely knows that I have no tolerance for flaming, insults and/or negative remarks on any public website.
My only guess is that you are referring to an incident that happened over a year ago on another website where I edited several posts (some of yours among them) and you were upset that I did not, at the same time, edit a post by another member who made a negative comment on a forum for which I had no moderator access.
I have been informed that another Moderator from that site, who I was further told is a friend of yours, initially misunderstood the circumstances and may have conveyed that misinformation along to you. I been further informed that the administrator of that site has advised you that your understandings were inaccurate.
IIRC, you have alluded to this incident many times here in Randy's forum to the bafflement of many, so it would appear that this issue still bothers you a great deal. While I would be more than happy to continue to discuss it with you further, either via e-mail or on the appropriate website, I do not believe that continually bringing this to Randy's table is appropriate. He has enough FlyerTalk moderation issues to which he must attend, without the additional burden of dealing with issues from other websites.

You are once again WRONG and once again, Posting knowingly false information. That is a violation of the TOS.
I am not in any way refering to your pathetic little web site. I am refering to the MANY times you have defended members HERE on FT who have flamed, insulted and been suspended.
But, you already knew that.

Well, I must admit that I, like Randy, am indeed guilty of defending persons who have been suspended or banned. I have not, however, ever condoned any insults and/or flaming, as I am sure that those to whom you refer will happily attest. Especially if you are referring to my friend Ozstamps, who I am confident I have censored more than any other poster on FlyerTalk.
I will add that he has always taken my input with extreme graciousness, when I have told that IMHO a post of his was over the line
Beyond that, every word of my previous post is the absolute truth as I understand, and as at least 20 other FlyerTalkers with inside information on this matter can attest.
Again, whatever problems you may have with me, I am most happy to deal with privately and spare Randy ongoing exposure to uneccessary displays of unhappiness and frustration.

I stand compltetely behind what I wrote and know, as do you, the true story.
But, as I stated in my previous post, this is NOT about your pathetic little web site. Your constant reference to the mistakes made on that site are NOT at issue here.
What is at issue is that you HAVE in the past condoned behaviour that has resulted in members being suspended. I am quite sure I can find a large number of FT'er whou can attest to that.

Would you please be so kind as to provide a link to any FlyerTalk post that I have made condoning insults, flaming and/or other activity that resulted in a member being suspended?

No, I will not. I am not going to waste my time finding what we both know exists.
Do these terms ring a bell?
Overexuberence misunderstood
Possibly crossed a line, but not as bad as some of the pack that is out to get him
I am paraphrasing, but not too far from exact. We both know that.
Another question: What is your stance on an FT'er who posts under a different handle while on suspension?

I know I shouldn't, but just couldn't resist.
Sometimes, for the sake of good health, it's just good practice to let things drop. You don't necessarily have to forget, but just let it drop. Eventually these things become unimportant (as they truly are in the scheme of things).
I remember punki and I had a disagreement a while back (cough). Don't even remember how long ago it was (cough).
But life is way to short for me to constantly remind myself of our disagreement. I might add, as you get older, time has a way of softening the way you remember the past.
Now if that disagreement were about something sunstantial (say, like a theft), that would be different.
So while it's important to never forget; it's also important to move on. CameraGuy, please move on. The last thing anyone wants is for any flyertalker to keep bringing up the past over and over again. (advice to self when re-reading ...)
The oldtimers remember. The new folks will just have to learn.
Written in the spirit of Flyertalk!!

Dan,
This has nothing to do with "Moving On". This has to do with an FT'er who consistently attempts to rewrite history.
I am not willing to stand by and watch this happen.
I made every attempt to not bring up the past, but was forced to when challenged. Punki knew the threads were there, so I have no idea why she challenged me.
In my opinion, Punki's statements regarding the behaviour of other members and moderating should be taken with a grain of salt. As long as I make my thoughts known without personally attacking Punki, there is nothing wrong with what I am doing.

I am so much older than you Dan, that I don't even remember having a disagreement with you.
You are, however, absolutely correct, life is way too short to be upset about things that are unimportant, let alone totally irrelevant, like someone you don't know, and never will know, being upset about something that in no way affects your life.
Go back and read those threads again, CameraGuy, carefully and without prejudice, and I think it will become clear to you that I have never condoned flaming and or insults on the part of anyone.
I do, however, like Ozstamps tremendously and honestly do believe that there was a time when he was treated unfairly. To be perfectly fair, there have also been times when he was a royal PITA, but I haven't seen much of that lately, so it would seem that he has moved on. Good for him!!! Growth is good.
If, however, CameraGuy, it brings you some sort of satisfaction to continue to be upset with him for something he did years ago, or with me for discovering early on that he is one heck of a neat guy (who is soley responsible for getting Hunki and I free flies on the Concorde),
please feel free to go for it.
Personally I think it is grand waste of time and energy to be upset about anything much less than cancer, death and/or taxes, so I will simply wish you well in your endeavors, turn on my Ignore User switch back and go out and enjoy myself.
Try to be as Happy as possible every day, you certainly won't get any reruns.
Punki
P.S. Ignore User switch is now on.

I had no desire to make this about any one FT'er. You did that.

Been away from the boards for a while.
Excuse me for dropping in - I had the silly idea this thread was about a current thread in Miles Buzz. Must have been mistaken.
