My point was that it wasn't a nagging problem for me.
I would way rather scroll past a dupe or two than have to wait regularly to post.

Seems someone is listening and also responding, Dorian!
Down from 90 sec to only 60 sec now!
Thanks for the seeming compromise folks!

You guys. Messing with this hot new technology. Now they tweaked that, and you got your 60 seconds default, FT has virually ground to a halt from the hi-tech shock! Can't npow access AA or UA boards - ironically the only 2 airline boards with our 'must have' moderators. Very Freudian.
Also this link is not working either all day for me:

Come on guys.....you see from a few posts that we compromised on the 60 seconds. Please don't want to re-negotiate. I thought we had a deal..... :-)

We're coming to London - won't you meet us?? I haven't talked to you in ages! I do remember lots of nights in Chat before it became so popular
.. and it was very, very late for you.. Do read the thread... and it's good to see you again.

Hey! That's my job, Dorian!
svpii: Off-topic posts will be met with a big
and you will be forced to write lines ("I will not post off topic again") and sit in a corner and ponder the existentialism of frequent flyer points.

BooBooKitty: Was that really necessary?
I ask you, please, to reconsider your post and tone it down. Self-restraint does us all good.

I think in this case that existential phenomonology as postured by the likes of Husserl, Heidegger, and Merleau-Ponty would be a better discipline from which to contemplate the meanings and essences of frequent flyer mile pursuit in the context of directed consciousness and the bracket-of-existence in it's effect on intentionality - don't you think?

Scientific thinking, a thinking which looks on from above, and thinks of the object-in-general, must return to the 'there is' which underlies it; to the site, the soil of the sensible and opened world such as it is in our life and for our body-- not that possible body which we may legitimately think of as an information machine but that actual body I call mine, this sentinel standing quietly at the command of my words and my acts.
Maurice Merleau-Ponty, "Eye and Mind"
