I agree with dvrich1 that some folks have been members (and lurkers like me) for some time. Maybe the best route would be to limit post by your member since date.

Just my 2 cents or 1 mile worth, I would love to see a board for jobs or networking. One just never knows when he/she will be out of a job or in a position where the downsizing is coming fast and furious.
I hope we can get some sort of jobs board

I think a job board would be a great bonus! Would this be just any jobs open listed by FTs or would it be jobs available that involve frequent flights? I have often thought of looking for work with frequent travel.

The thread should be only for those fired for reading too much FlyerTalk at work.

Randy,
As someone who recently changed positions I feel this would be a good idea. I had thought about talking to people on this board. They have a lot in common in many ways with me.
People who contribute here understand the demands of travel and all the issues associated with it. They probally also have or know of opportunities. When looking this is critical to have as many networks as possible.
You may want to check and see if Monster.com can help with a joint board. I think they may do this.

it's one thing to have a jobs board for FT'ers, another thing entirely to link to a board like monster. my understanding of the suggestions was that it would be by ft'ers for fters and that if we can't limit it to that it may be too much work...our local board (craigs list) keeps spammers out of job areas specifically by charging posters $45 to POST a job. that way if they;re willing to pay i t's probably a real job...
but again I envisioned something a little more informal...maybe just people who were looking could post... and if you had a job to offer you could email provately...

This is an excellent idea.
For those of us who usually have to pay for our travel, but would love to have a job that would pay for it at times, where better to have the job board than right here!
Limiting posting to those who've been members for a few months would surely prevent a sudden influx of job-seekers.
