Randy - I agree that there is no purpose for that type of language and flaming in this board. There needs to be some supervision.

Personally, any thread that I have ever read that has one bit of "Flaming" or personal attacks on them, I immediately cease to read and I NEVER put in any comments.

Being that people just can't seem to resist answering back - I suggest that we do either have an application process to become a poster on this board, or have some sort of checks and balances (ie: real email addresses, etc.). I wouldn't even be upset if we instituted some sort of small fee structure (like $10/year) to become a member.

FlyerTalk Staff - I think that all of the regulars on this board are asking for your help. I have seen repeated calls for your assistance over the months and to date nothing has been done. Personally, if this stuff continues, I could see many people (myself included) getting disgusted with this type of activity and leaving the board.

Please Randy (or whoever) - Step up to the plate and help us out here.

UBB does require a valid email address to register. However a user can opt to keep their address private.

How about a 7 day waiting period, after you register, before you're allowed to post?

This way Randy could call all the Hotel VP's and Airline Execs he knows and do a through background check.

Find out if the person has ever thrown away a ticket, or engaged in back to back ticketing.
None of us Old timer FTer's would ever do such things.

On the serious side:

That way someone could observe and learn the ropes before jumping in.
