I think LatinPass is going to ignore this issue realizing the clock is about to run out. Most people will need to get to/from Miami and these fares start to get very expensive without a 14 day advance purchase. If LatinPass does not respond by June 7th, your chances are as good as nil.

The real issue is LatinPass refuses to acknowledge that there is a timezone issue. Every other airline understands this. When a fare sale ends at midnight, all airlines will honor the sale until every time zone has passed midnight no matter where their main frame is located. The LatinPass computer shows the exact (down to the minute)time when people enrolled. It would not be very difficult to allow people who enrolled by 6AM Eastern time to participate in the bonus.

"Actually, I went to Miami on Monday this week to meet with LatinPass in person to look voer what's going on. The topic of adding people was among those i adressed with them, but no solution as of yet. I'm going back to meet with them this coming Monday, again in person and with the hopes of getting a clear answer. "

RANDY - What ever happened at the 2nd meeting?? There have been numberous postings asking this and no reponses. Please use your own board to communicate.

As to those that missed signup by hours, forget it. You will likely find it will cost too much without advance planning and if you get a cancellation during last day or so, you will really be upset. I agree - LP is ignoring the situation as time is about gone. What they should have stated: Any signups effective immediately will not be able to get the bonus and then released the statement.

Easy, please It's not Randy that changed the rules!

I for one, had planned to reorganize my schedule in order to go, along with my family, for a "leisurely mileage run" during Spring break. The way the promo was run- from the beginning- and my resulting lack of faith in it, lead to a "quiet pass"!

Very sad and perhaps my loss- millions of miles!

But it's NOT Randy's fault!

DOC,I agree w/u its NOT RANDYs fault. However the posts above yours are also correct-Randy did write he's gonna have another meeting with them I believe 'next week' and then he'll get back to us.Even if that meeting NEVER took place for what ever reason many people are waiting to hear what Randy has to say(when E F Hutton speaks....) it might have been nice just to see a post from saying nothing yet folks. Randy didnt make or change the rules and I feel he went beyond the call of duty to have flown to MIA to start with to see what the story was w/LP! And to see if there was in fact anything he could do to help those that were left out in the cold.

This is getting downright spooky, how Randy's not saying ANYTHING to all of us in this post. NOTHING is mentioned in ANY way about that second meeting. Have we been abandoned? RANDY!?!?!?!?!

milejunkie....
no...it couldn't!

Randy has replied to a number of other posts on the boards in the past few days and weeks...so clearly he's reading the boards. This meeting was supposed to take place several weeks ago. I'm sure that there's some good reason that Randy has not replied...but I'm sure curious what it is. I do know that it's not becuase he's on the road, though.

I agree that Randy owes us at least a short note as to 1) if he had the 2nd meeting (if not, why), and 2) if he did, what occured.

He has been on the board as one can tell in other threads. And one would "think" he would always take a looks at the Only Randy Petersen threads first.

One other comment. Randy states that he thinks LP is stable and will honor its committments -- but the miles in LP are not covered by his Award Guard program. Concerns?

Although I hope it does not happen, I wonder if LP will "disband" and claim the member airlines decided to each do their own FF program (which some already have). July 1 is getting close.

Well, Randy must be reasonably confident of the ability of the LP program to deliver on its bonus miles, since he too has decided to invest his time and money in his own million mile run.

I suspect a vow of silence was made in Florida on that Monday.

I have read this for so long, I will give a short opinion.

Regarding the March 19th cut off..

On one side, Latinpass shouldn't get so technical on the exact cutoff time unless it results in some extraordinary amount of hardship on Latinpass. I can't see why a company would be so picky as to a few hours or even a day or two. I believe that businesses should always have an undisclosed built-in grace period.

On the other side, if you signed up for Latinpass and Latinpass promptly notifies you that they are not going to except you, that is their right. A business does have the right not to do business. So, if Latinpass won't acccept you, that is about all there is to it. Now if you purchased your tickets with the agreement you would be credited by the Latinpass promotion, that is different; but, if you aren't out any money from ticket purchases, I don't see how you can force the issue.
