Any rental car price comparison website to receive alerts when price decrease at x?
Any price comparison for car rental that send alerts when price drop at a certain amount set by user, so not just a cent or 5% drop, without needing a reservation?
Ideally would be to receive alerts for a destination when the price per day for a week long rental, reach X amount, without having to create 100 alerts for all the dates.
Any suggestions?
don't tell me Autoslash.com

OK, we won't tell you AutoSlash.com.
Seriously though, we have been doing this for 10+ years now, and if there is such a service, we've never heard about it. Pricing can vary based on pickup/return times, dates, vehicle type, location (airport vs. off-airport), etc. which makes it extremely resource-intensive to build such a service.
What you are basically looking for is a flexible date search for car rentals along the lines of what ITA Matrix is for flights but with the added convenience of alerting as well. No tool like that exists as far as we know. You could simulate something like this by creating a bunch of search links on a page like this:
https://www.priceline.com/drive/sear...By=TOTAL_PRICE
https://www.priceline.com/drive/sear...By=TOTAL_PRICE
https://www.priceline.com/drive/sear...By=TOTAL_PRICE
etc.
Then you could just click on the links each day and check the pricing. It's possible also to filter down to specific companies and vehicle types if you wanted or even include off-airport and airport with the right parameters.
The main problem with something like this is that the rates returned are basically undiscounted. If you wanted to run discounted rates as well, you'd need to multiply each one of those searches by 100 or so and that would assume you knew all the available discount codes and/or coupons to search ahead of time. Seems like a simple request, but in practice, quite challenging.

I just want to introduce a destination and want alerts when the cheapest car reach X amount per day based on 1-4 week rental (specified by user).
doesn't matter the vehicle type, on-off airport, discount/coupon etc.
About your website, can do that if I introduce the dates? From my experience didn't seem to be able to do that.
also the website looks like from prehistoric era.

No, it's not really possible to do that today with our site. The closest you can get is to put in a bunch of quote requests for the dates you're interested in and then just come back on daily basis and click the links to view your quote which will prompt you to refresh the pricing. Then you'll get a new email in a few minutes with updated discount rates for that period.
Triggered email alerts are only sent based on existing reservations that you are tracking. There's no way to enter a bunch of hypothetical reservations and be alerted on those, unfortunately.
As for our website design, it's was done about 10 years ago when we first launched. We're well aware that's it's pretty long in the tooth. We're a few of weeks away from launching a refreshed mobile-friendly design so stay tuned!

And you neither send alerts on searches but only on reservations, so I should make 20 reservations to know that after 1 month the price would be 1% less?
it's 2021.
That could work 30 years ago.

Sounds like you're giving a verdict on something you haven't used at all. 🙄
I've used AutoSlash for years. Sometimes the price I get through them is better than a couple other sources I checked, sometimes, it's *much* better, and occasionally it's the same.
Try analyzing the value of the site with a dataset greater than zero.

So it's useless. Why would people want to put the email, name, surname etc, and wait 15 minutes just to see what prices do you offer??? To discover that your prices are higher that others?
And you neither send alerts on searches but only on reservations, so I should make 20 reservations to know that after 1 month the price would be 1% less?

That's all well and good, but getting the best possible deal today doesn't necessarily mean that you've got the best deal tomorrow, or next week, or the day before you pick up the rental because prices can change multiple times a day. That's why we offer our tracking feature. You enter the basic details of your reservation and we keep checking multiple times a day to see if there are any better deals. We have people who re-book many, many times--each time lowering their price. Sometimes it's 10% lower and sometimes it's 70% lower. It just really depends on the situation.
We get that our service may not meet your needs, but what you're looking for just does not exist, so it's basically AutoSlash or running all the searches manually, and even then, you're just going to be getting undiscounted rates, so it's going to be a huge waste of time. Hope this helps!

I found a better solution and independent from booking websites.
Use an website change monitor, those tools send you alerts when a price or word on a webpage change and arrive to your desired price.
there are website change monitors for desktop, apps, browser extensions, online based.
for free.

We're happy you found something that works for you. How do you handle the multiple dates need? How about the issue of being notified when something changes by a very small amount?
