Vayama - Dispute over Ticket Conditions

I purchased a ticket for traveling from Bangkok to Washington DC on Turkish Airlines from Vayama. I already used the outbound portion of the ticket, and now I want to change the returning portion, pushing the returning flight date two months out. When I called Vayama, the agent told me she could not change my ticket because the fare rules say that I have a 3 months maximum stay. When I originally purchased the ticket, I did read over the fare rules, and I don't recall seeing anything about that besides a maximum stay of 12 months after the original departure. So I called back, and again the agent insisted that my ticket has a fare rules that limit the maximum stay to 3 months. I asked where she's getting that fare rules from and if she could send a copy to me. She didn't hang up the phone, but she went completely silent. I only heard ambient noises from then on, and the agent wouldn't talk to me anymore.

The original flight dates are Nov 4th - Jan 16th. The ticket was purchased in September.

Below is a copy of the fare rules- the only ones that I have and agreed to when making the purchase. Am I missing something here?

I would call Turkish and ask for assistance first. OTA will probably add an agency fee on top of airline penalty + fare difference and if TK can help you without the additional agency fee I'd try that first, also to help clarify fare rules of ticket. If they won't change it and tell you to call the OTA at least you know the rules and can escalate if necessary when you call the OTA back.

With Vayama you have to escalate (again and again). Use email if at all possible. TK is very unlikely to help you but might provide a copy of the fare rules.

Vayama - Customer Service - Never Again

I purchased an airline ticket through Vayama. Subsequently, I called Vayama's Customer Service telephone number to ask a few questions. The Customer Service representative was extremely rude, and hung up on me. I will never use Vayama again

You also have to pay Vayama's service fee of $250 (maybe more now) in addiiton to any airline penalty. Many OTAs make razor thin margins on the actual ticket sale and then make up for by bilking consumers with with outrageous service fees when a passenger needs to make a special request or needs a ticket change/refund.

Call TK and ask for assistance with the fare rules. TK will not likely touch a TA ticket, but it can certainly provide the fare rules. I know that you have cut & pasted something in your OP, but it is not clear to me that those are complete.

If the fare rules do have a limit, you are SOL.

Presuming that they do not, you may then press Vayama, bearing in mind that you will pay not only TK's penalty and fare difference, but Vayama's ticket reissuance fee on top of all of that.

Not to berate you because it is too late, but anytime you book through a TA, you are stuck with not only the carrier's rules and fees, but anything that the TA imposes above that. There are many, many, many complaints about Vayama available from a quick search, so it boggles that anyone still uses them.
