IB codeshare baggage transfer
I have an award booking CX AMS-HKG.
IB has a codeshare with Vueling BCN-AMS.
1. Can we check in at the IB counter in BCN for the Vueling flight, show them the onward CX ticket and have them check the bag all the way through BCN-HKG?
2. If we have to check in at Vueling counter in BCN, are they authorized to check bags to the CX flight, even though it is a separate ticket?
Thanks!

In fact, according to this info from Vueling's website, they don't even appear to believe in connections between two of their own flights, nevermind another airline.

I can second this. Very unlikely that you will be able to check your bags through.
Even if they have an interline agreement not many airlines take the risk anymore when two tickets are involved.
