Ticketed DONE5 at LHR
Recently ticketed my DONE5 at AA LHR terminal 3. The iteneary is LHR-DXB-AMM-JFK(x)-SCL-IPC-SCL(x)-LAX-HKG-SIN-NRT(x)-BKK-NRT(x)-PER-DRW-SYD-LHR.
The process went smoothly, once I located the AA ticketing booth hidden in the back. The RTW desk did a good job and everything was setup correctly.
Total price was 5135.10 GBP pp, which my Starwood AE converted to $8657.27 pp. This appears to be about the 2.6% fee they claim. The cheapest conversion fee I could find was 1%, but no FF points, so I figured the Starwood points were worth the extra.
Fortunately I was able to ticket within the new 10% reduction window.
Now I hope our dollar does not become the Obama peso before I complete the trip.
