Tools to check award availability?

I am trying to construct a OW award itinerary with AA miles. One of the segments will be on RJ. However, as is being discussed at AA forum, AA's system has some glitch about RJ and shows "no availability" when there is and others can see/book.

Hence my question: Are there other tools available? As a paying member I had great hopes from EF, but was disappointed to learn that EF doesn't follow RJ award inventory. People report using BA.com, but apparently you need to have BA miles which I don't. RJ's own agents, once they figured out I wasn't buying from them, were less than helpful.

All help appreciated. If I can determine availability it would strengthen my hand with AA agents. BTW the flight is

DEL to IST (one way) on RJ
Dec 29, +/- 3 days
2 seats, Business Class preferred, Economy tolerated.

Thanks for any info or help!

You should be able to check RJ award availability on BA.com (no mileage is required for this).

Otherwise, there are currently 2 C award seats available on BA:

[KVS Availability Tool 5.0.2/Diamond - Amadeus: Awards/OneWorld/AU-QFA]
Code:
DEL Delhi Indira Gandhi Int'l IN [VIDP]
IST Istanbul Ataturk TR [LTBA]

Thanks. I also figured this out with the help from ilovetofly. I had a long-unused BA username and password lying around and whenever I logged in, I got the welcome message but wasn't able to search. Not sure if this wasn't executive club membership, or the membership was inactive. Anyway, signing up again fixed the problem.

That's what AA keeps pushing and what I am trying to avoid. DEL-IST via LHR adds too many flown miles and also bumps up the cost from 130K to 150K. That's why I am focussing on RJ, via Amman would be much shorter.

Another interesting thing I learned is that I need to search DEL-AMM and AMM-IST separately. If I say DEL-IST, then BA's site defaults to BA via LHR and never mentions the RJ option.

Again, thanks for your feedback.

Does QF online award lookup cover RJ? QFF is free to join (if have address outside Australia & NZ) and also enables award search without miles in your account. Downside is limited to the destinations they've loaded into the pulldown list.
