Ticket issue wait?

How long does it normally take to issue the ticket?

I booked a LONE4 via the online tool with AA last Thursday. I got an email (right away) from them saying the trip was confirmed and gave me a confirmation number, but there hasn't been any sign of the ticket itself yet.

AA has sent through a $1 'test' of my credit account, but doesn't appear to have charged the full amount yet.

The confirmation number they sent in the email doesn't work on aa.com (the email said it would), though the booking has shown up in my FF account on Qantas (but the details of the trip is missing a few of the flights).

Qantas.com will only show what Amadeus has. This is normally the BA, QF & LAN flights plus some immediate connections/preceding flights on AA, CX etc.

You'll see the same on www.checkmytrip.com .

Given you can see flights on Qantas.com, it is surprising you can't pull up the booking using the AA "Sabre" reference.

AA.com seems to have issues with RTW tickets and being able to display them online. I was told by an EXP rep that once it was ticketed I should be able to view an itinerary online.
My CX ticketed routing will still not show on AA.com. You might have better luck with an AA tickted itn.

In the past I have always, eventually, been able to see the itn on aa.com.

This is the first time I have had no access.

FWIW my CX ex ICN ticket took around 4 days before it was ticketed.

How come the QF site showed the CBR-SYD flight (under the AA code), then that sector disappeared the next day?

This is an annoying issue with AA. I cannot find mine online with AA at all and BA/QF/Amadeus only shows the BA/QF flights. It will hopefully all be resolved end of May (!).

This PNR has been added to group defect # 25796.

1 of several that can not be retrieved via AA.com.

Planned implementation of the fix is scheduled for 28May09.

Well, I was able to log into aa.com under the AA Sabre reference this morning. It said it was ticketed, but didn't show the itinerary. Got an email around lunch and everything is now showing up on aa.com.

The Amadeus number is showing the BA and QF flights, the AA flight before the BA flight and the two JL flights connecting to/from QF flights (The first flight, AA7398 [QF704] reappeared as well).

I was able to change the perfered seat on the AA flights on aa.com, but I can't find a way to change the QF/BA/JL seats (for those that have been assigned according to aa.com). Have tried on qantas.com and checkmytrip.com.

I have noticed that the receipt says AU$3,541.17 but they've only charged AU$3,382.54 to my account. I assume they are going to come back later asking for that extra $158.63?

Use the phone to change QF seats.

Use ba.com MMB to change BA seats.
