AONE4 Question: Is this Routing Allowed?
Please advise...
On the back-end portion of this itinerary, can I connect via NRT (as noted below) if the connection time is less than 24 hours?
ICN-DEL-HKG-LAX-JFK-DFW-LAX-LHR-DBX-LHR-HEL-LHR-CPT-NRT-ICN
I get a warning on the One World Itineary Planner site, but I read something about a 24-hour stopover allowance.
Note that I am already using some stops in Asia at the front end, namely DEL and HKG.

How do you think you're doing CPT-NRT? I don't see any non-stop flights. You can't re-enter Europe, so I guess:
ICN-DEL-HKG-LAX-JFK-DFW-LAX-LHR-DXB-LHR-HEL-LHR-CPT-JNB-xHKG-xNRT-ICN
which I guess might cause the system to throw a wobbly.
ICN-DEL-HKG-LAX-JFK-DFW-LAX-LHR-DXB-LHR-HEL-LHR-CPT-JNB-xHKG-ICN
would be OK assuming the second HKG is for less than 24 hours.

Thank you for the quick response. This is my first shot at a RTW, and I appreciate your support.
I've cleaned up my itinerary a bit. How does the following look? (I am assuming that the "x" indicates a connection of less than 24 hours.)
ICN-xNRT-DEL-HKG-LAX-JFK-DFW-ORD-LAX-LHR-DXB-LHR-HEL-LHR-JNB-xHKG-ICN.
I've replaced CPT with JNB.
I would buy a separate ticket JNB-CPT (perhaps South African Airways) since I really want to see CPT, but do not want to forego the "A" service offered on CX apparently only certain days of the week JNB-HKG, but not at all CPT-HKG non-stop.

My point is, I wouldn't keep your hopes up. (Northern Hemisphere) Summer F offerings on that route seems to change once a month. Unfortunately, the only other choice is JNB//SYD but that too only has F 5x or 6x week and has had some reliability issues. It would also bump you to an AONE5 instead of AONE4.

Depends on whether you want *A or OW miles. The BA franchise carrier Comair flies that route & is very good, IME. There are also several LCCs offering various levels of prices & reliability, 'though I've never tried them.

CX has proven unreliable on their JNB//HKG service schedule. A few months ago they were showing a 744 with F 4x week for the summer, then it changed to 3x a week. Then, a month or so ago they dropped that altogether and showed no F product on that route from mid-April through October. Now, they're showing a Wed-only F available on the 343 for that route.

Yes, old seat which does lie flat. No mattress or any other pad. F will most likely not be full, so take an extra duvet, double it up lengthwise, and use it as a mattress pad.
No, the only CX metal service ex-Africa is JNB-HKG.
