Refund on xONEx
Hi there,
If I decide to buy a xONEx ticket from The Netherlands, will I get a full refund if I decide to cancel it before I depart? Even if the ticket is issued?
If so, how does the refunding process work? And how long does it take before the amount is refunded?
Thanks!

You are entitled to a full refund less any "service fees" as the Netherlands is in TC2:
As for the refunding process, that depends upon the entity (Agent?) you purchase through.
16. VOLUNTARY CHANGES/REROUTING/PENALTIES
...
...
(b) Cancellations and Refunds
-------------
Local service fees may apply
(1) Prior to departure
...(a) Origin TC1
(1) Before ticket issuance - full refund
(2) After ticket issuance - 10 percent of ticketed amount
(b) Origin TC2/3(2) After ticket issuance - 10 percent of ticketed amount
No penalty
-------------
Local service fees may apply

I have a DONE4 ex-JNB (TC2) booked for departure this May. Mindpearl have advised that the rules changed on 1 November 2008 such that there is a penalty for cancellation, regardless of the region of departure. (Previously, TC2 and TC3 incurred no penalty.)
This DONE4 was ticketed on 4 November 2008 and I was careful to download and save a copy of the rules as they were then. According to that document, as at 4 November, the rules hadn't been updated and there was no penalty for cancellation in TC2.
Whilst the current techincal rule sheet lists the 5% cancellation penalty for business/first class itineraries in TC2, I can't find anything on the sheet that indicates when it was updated.
What are options? How do I prove to AA that when I booked on 4 November the rules hadn't been updated? (No intention of cancelling at the moment, but I'd like to be prepared in case I do.)

Just checked the OWE Rule Sheet on the OW Site - it does not show the changes (the pdf document is dated 1 Aug 2008)

Am I correct that the refund rules apply based on the date that the ticket was issued, not on the date that the refund is requested?
