LONE 4 baggage allowance

sorry for opening a new thread for this but answers in this forum to my question didn't really help me.
so,what is the baggage allowance for a LONE4? in the forum it says: "the baggage system applies" but what is that supposed to mean?in the german regulations for TAs it says "2 bags, 23kg each for the entire journey" but eg. on AA.com they say they do not allow any checked baggage for flights within the US unless you pay 15$ for the first and 25$ for the second.also, on CX's page they state they only allow 20kg in ECON.
can anyone confirm that i am allowed 2 pieces at 23kg each on the entire journey,no matter which of the carriers I fly and no matter if I e.g. also fly within the US on AA?
regards

This is a very good question!

The filed rule is quite ambiguous:

Code:
50.RULE APPLICATION AND OTHER CONDITIONS
   AA/AY/BA/CX/IB/JC/JL/JO/KA/LA/LP/MA/NU/QF/RJ/XL/4M
   ONEWORLD
   EXPLORER FARES
   APPLICATION
[...]
BAGGAGE REGULATIONS - THE PIECE SYSTEM APPLIES TO
PASSENGERS TRAVELING ON A ONEWORLD EXPLORER FARE.
Incidentally, my interpretation of AA's rules at http://www.aa.com/aa/i18nForward.do?...eAllowance.jsp is that yours is an international itinerary and that therefore you fall in the "Travel to/through/from Europe and Asia" or the "Other International Travel" category. As such you don't have to pay for baggage check-in on any AA segment (whether it's a domestic flight or not) in the qualifying itinerary.

i am really pretty uncertain about this. here people were talking about this in 2006,where it seems to have been 2x32kg...and i bet they are right saying it went (or would go down) to 2x23kg but qantas on their website say (see "Round The World") that the "piece allowance will apply".
this again would mean that i was only allowed one piece on,say BNE-SYD.
if you read the very small printed stuff here, it's a whole other story:
If your client’s itinerary involves a combination of flights to/from the USA and any other international destinations (eg Sydney Los Angeles London Singapore Sydney) the baggage allowance that applies on flights to the USA will apply for the entire journey. If your client is travelling with other airlines we recommend you check with them regarding their baggage policy.
this would mean I am allowed 2x32 kg again...but then would that only apply to QF or also AA BA CX and JL?

Please, can anyone clean this mess up?

You are allowed two Pieces of checked baggage for your entire trip.

As it's an international itinerary, no AA fee should be payable.

Generally the weight limits of the carrier who you are checking in with apply, so for:

That's what I posted ...

It's a "higher limit" than their standard 20Kg of other itineraries (as mentioned by the OP).
