One ticket, several PNRs

My canadian TA recently issued this ex-CPT AONE5 booked through AA.
Checking on aa.com, the itinerary is as it should be (16 legs, one PNR, ticket # is valid).
However, on BA.com, things are different: two PNRs are associated with this ticket, and both show parts of a previous version of the itinerary mixed with the new, ticketed one. One PNR has 25 (!) segments and the other only 13. Several flights are redundant (for instance, 2 bookings on the same flight, same date, same class of travel) and others are missing entirely. One PNR does not show a ticket number while the other does show one that is invalid.
BA's answer to that : "Don't worry, those are bookings for internal use only."
I do not trust those folks at BA, but do trust the wise folks hanging around in this forum.
Should I get worried?

BA is right... you should only be concerned with BA, AY, and QF flights on ba.com and nothing else.

Ask your TA for his itinerary link and go with what is on that booking instead of going all over the place and 'checking on' things you do not know or understand.

Some flights that you had previously held would be received by BA as an Information Sector only, to which BA would not have had access to the live inventory. I assume you've chopped and changed your itinerary a little, which has caused duplicate Info Sectors to be received by BA. If you look closer at some of the flights, I would expect that ba.com should display the status as something like 'for information purposes only.'

The only thing I may be concerned about was if you had duplicate BA sectors as, of course, these should all come through as live, confirmed sectors in BA's own system. This could feasibly happen if you have been amending your itinerary in tandem with AA and BA as AA may not have been able to remove certain flights held directly by BA.

So, assuming that you have been booking this itinerary solely through AA, I would concentrate primarily on the booking as seen on aa.com. I would make a note of the Amadeus PNR(s) that contain live space on BA should you need to contact them and, thereafter, would not give this a second thought.
Thank you, Bukhara, for taking the time to explain things I do not know or understand. That is what I call constructive posting.

A little harsh I feel... Given the difficulty I've had recently with airlines autocancelling segments I'd be a little concerned if what I was seeing in the underlying airlines' PNRs didn't match what I thought I had booked. And it is perfectly legitimate to be looking at them for seat reservations, inputting Advanced Passenger Info and so on.

But the explanations stack with my experience - the "for info" segments don't really mean much if you're fiddling around with the reservations. The one thing I would be worried about would be if two different underlying airline PNRs both showed confirmed reservations for the same flight on that airline. That would suggest a duplicate booking which would need sorting out,
