Recognition of newly achieved OW status while in transit on RTW trip

In 07 I was on my last legs of a RTW (Y) trip. Flew from IAD-DFW-SFO which got me to sliver. My status hadn't been updated (to ruby) for my next flight (SFO-SYD-CBR) for my flight 2 days later, but I was able to check in a the business counter.

Just got into JAL F lounge. The check-in system did not pick-up my LANPASS status (OW Emerald), but I politely asked if I can prove my status via my online account (opened my laptop and logged onto my LANPASS account in front of the JAL lounge agent). She gladly let me in! 
JAL F lounge is nice... on-par with NH F lounge in NRT.
