Cancellation of a flight and fees
Hey all,
I have a LONE5 ticket. I want to cancel one of my flights, in a continent in which I have 6 flights (and so paid 100USD extra + airport taxes for this flight, because of the 4 flights per continent limitation).
I am wondering if I am entitled to a 100 USD + airport taxes refund (for the flight cancelled) according to the rules, or if it is a negotiable matter, or if I am not eligible for a refund at all.
In addition, I wonder if the flight cancellation is assimilated to a change and so requires the payment of 125 USD extra.
Thanks for the info !
Phil

Cancelling will require reticketing (and associated change fees) as it is a change in routing. Also taxes may increase not reduce as some taxes are waived for transits without stopover.

You *may* be able to do that with a paper ticket, but not with an eticket. I once did that with a paper *A RTW after consulting with the issuing airline (SQ in that case). I skipped the flight, and the agent simply lifted two coupons instead of one. I would not count on being able to do this though, as it could lead to a cancelation of the rest of the ticket if you fly coupons out of sequence.

, if paper? If not, your subsequent flight reservations may all be cancelled.
