Best airlines to CAI
Although this is an AA Partner award, I thought I'd post it here since it involves OW carries. MODs, please move if the AA forum is more appropriate.
I'm looking to go from DFW to CAI next year via a Partner award. As I understand it, I have some flexibility in which partner airlines I can use (provided they have availability), is that correct?
A quick glace at the OW timetable and the AA reservation system shows that I could end up on BA, AA or Royal Jordain on the trans-atlantic leg.
Note: the seach on AA. com was done as if I was paying, so I'm not sure if the award routing will be the same.
So, the question: For a business class award would I be better suited flying AA, BA or RJ on the trans-atlantic route?
thanks for the input.

BA is not an option on an AA award, unless you are willing to route via Canada or Mexico. Also, add IB to the list of possibles.
The best J of them all is probably BA, but it also means going through LHR, currently not the most pleasant of transit points in Europe.

I threw BA into the mix, cause the AA reservation system did return DFW-YUL-LHR-CAI as an option. Again not sure if the award ticket could go that way, but the paid ticket could
on a side note, it also returned DFW-LGW-MAN-LHR-CAI and another strange possibility of DFW-LGW-ZRH-LHR-CAI. Both of those are very interesting ways to avoid taking the shuttle between LGW and LHR

Yep, any BA transatlantic flight from Canada or Mexico will work as part of an AA partner award.

IB's interantional J would only be from the US to MAD. IB only operates to CAI with their regional intra-Europe business class. Don't know if the RJ flight from Amman to CAI is their international business class but I doubt it. While RJ international business isn't bad I don't believe the seats really compare to BA's lie flat seats.
For me BA would be the way to go.

RJ also uses just small planes Amm-CAI.
The choice for me would be the convenience of DFW to LHR with AA or BA via Canada
BA - great seats and sometimes great service
Upper Deck on a Club World 747 is for me, as good as first class. (Downstairs and 777 always feels a bit packed and has far less value). A few things to note;
From Montreal it's one a day 777 - which may or may not have the new AV system by the time you fly.
If you can get Toronto on the timetable it is showing 747's^ but also 767
The best of the lot is Vancouver (if you can get it) 2 x 747's and a long enough flight to both enjoy it and sleep.
