Thanks again for everyone! I just return from a short trip to south-east asia.

I have rearranged the itinerary again so I can see Alaska's summer.

HKG-AMS//RAK-LHR-CAI-MAD-UIO//PUQ-MPN-SCL-IPC-SCL-JFK-CUN//MEX-DFW-ANC-DFW-BOS-LAX-SYD-AYQ-CNS-HKG

the trancontinental flight is BOS-LAX as I don't wanna stopover JFK twice. However I think BOS isn't a very value-adding stopover -- I think I can visit BOS from JFK via bus... any idea to replace BOS with a more value-adding one?

...-DFW-SJU-LAX-... is a possibility.

Thanks! I didn't realize SJU-LAX can be done (I probably mixed up SJU and SJO, and mistook SJU as a seasonal one). It's a great idea! And I just found the whole itinerary got 56218 miles! Sounds a great deal in getting mileage...

So here comes the updated itinerary:

HKG-AMS//RAK-LHR-CAI-MAD-UIO//PUQ-MPN-SCL-IPC-SCL-JFK-CUN//MEX-DFW-ANC-DFW-SJU-LAX-SYD-AYQ-CNS-HKG

You could do DFW-LAX-SJU-JFK-SYD for even more miles (about 3K more, or 5%).

Unless I miscounted, that would only work with the new 21-flight version of the OWE.

Number of sectors aside, SJU-LAX, IMO, is a much, much better flight than LAX-SJU.
