The other interesting part is the blunt lecture to everyone from the British army officer at the baggage carousel upon arrival on what a land mine looks like and what to do if you see one.
I'd be amused to see how the TSA folk would do this!

In the European Court of Justice case last month about participation of the inhabitants of Gibraltar to European elections, the Court still referred to Gibraltar as a 'British Crown colony'.

The LA SCL-MPN flights do run in October (Saturdays only); I just did it. The RAF flights (twice a week) are now flown by some Icelandic carrier as the RAF is using all of its planes in Iraq. For ordinary people, only economy class is available, though Army high-ups get to sit in better seats. According to locals, the planes are normally empty and it is easy to get rows of empty seats to lie down and sleep.

But, and I'm sure Traveloguy will agree, there is certainly something to be said about sharing a loooong flight with the fabulous RAF squaddies from Norfolk to MPN.

Who cares about AVOD, when we arrange our own IFE!!!
