complaints BA

Hi Folks
Has anyone experienced a good response , after filing a complaint with BA.
The reason I ask this , is 'that I have had nothing but problems trying to sort out my 2nd Trip with BA turkey since March , and with Brenmen taking over more problems .
I have tried to be very diplomatic about the whole ticket issue , with the staff not knowing their own rules to the point it dragged on to the fare increase as of 15th of April .
I have now been told after booking that the total cost for a DONE5 including taxes is euro 6,800 or roughly 4,700 pounds, which I duly paid , but I am still awaiting an email several weeks now about all my concerns for delays etc , with no response , what does one do in this situation , all advise greatly recieved
Kind regards ELO

I think a lot has to do with where you reside. It has been my experience that complaints to BAEC North America are usually ignored. Complaints to BAEC UK usually get answered within 72 hours.

Hi Kibson
Thank you for your response. I spend quite a bit of money with BA , and to be honest I am shocked at their customer service , if that is not too strong a word , what can be done to improve BA ?
Kind Regards ELO

I was on a transatlantic flight flying business class and the inflight entertainment was not working. The flight attendants came around at the end of the flight with a form and asked if we wanted to complain. I filled out the form and expected to hear nothing. Instead, in the mail, I received vouchers for 80 pounds of inflight duty free purchases. I spent 50 on a bluetooth earpiece and software to be able to use this with my computer. I tried to spend the other 30 but they didn't have the items on the plane the items in their catalog that I wanted. I'll have to fly BA again soon anyway, so no big deal.

I got 40 for no IFE in F for LHR-CAI a couple of years ago.

You had to use the voucher in the BA shop - where they charge you 25 to issue a ticket. I.e. 15 for no IFE for 5 hours!

(However, I did get the 100k miles for the Walkout last year as I was travelling on the day of the walkout)

I used it on another flight and they didn't charge me anything. I spent 50 and still have 30 in vouchers left.

I wish I knew. I don't think anyone actually works in the NA BAEC office. In the three years that I have been a loyal BA customer, I have never gotten any response to any communication sent to the Minneapolis BAEC office. It is a shame that a company as well run as BA ignores its North American customers. It is not just customer service but advertising as well. I tried BA for the first time only because they had a cheaper fare than Delta. I was amazed at the differences and have never considered Delta since for transatlantic travel. BA could cash in on what I see as a huge competitive advantage over American based carriers.
