AA codeshare on CX out of Alignment
With my DONE4, I am booked on AA6123 in Jun, JFK-HKG. This is codeshared on CX889. I have booked the AA codeshare to get double miles as a QF Platinum (emerald).
When booked it was showing as a 343.
I was just rechecking and expertflyer was showing the following:
(The flight details show CX as being in YVR 01:40-02:50, AA is 02:10-3:20.)
Sure enough, when I check the CX flight via the cathy Website CX889 is showing a 744. On AA.com 'tis showing 343 still.
I would guess CX have scheduled an equipment and time change while AA are yet to catch up.
When booked it was showing as a 343.
I was just rechecking and expertflyer was showing the following:
Code:
CX 889 1 JFK HKG 744 RB ...
../06/06 11:00PM ../06/06 07:10AM
AA 6123 1 JFK HKG 343 RB ...
(CX) ../06/06 11:15PM ../06/06 08:00AM
Sure enough, when I check the CX flight via the cathy Website CX889 is showing a 744. On AA.com 'tis showing 343 still.

Serfy, I seem to recall something on the CX forum that talked about seasonal equipment changes on this routing. I am sure it is just a case of AA being a bit slow on the uptake, so to speak.
ahh - found it. Here we go:

Serfty, that'll be a great flight. Just hope that Augustine is not in code RED:

Be sure to get a window. Mrs og and I did the same YVR-HKG run and had fantastic views of the Aleutians at just the right time. Later on, at night, we tracked along a storm front for 2 hrs near Japan. It was the best lightening show I have ever seen. The DONEx price is worth it just for these views when they happen (especially when you can command several windows at a time).

I took this flight back in the beginning of December. Same problem then. No complaint though. I will take the 747 over the A34C any day.

Ok, AA have now caught up... now showing 744.
og, I'll be travelling around the time of a full moon. The seat map is showing thru expertflyer as being very open. What seat do you reccomend from 11A, 11K, 81A or 81K (I like the front rows of CX J).
