Circle pacific less than 22,000 miles but charging me $75.00 for too many segments???

I am on a circle pacific trip than comes out to less than 22,000 miles and costs $4900.00 in J

The trip is LAX/AKL
AKL/MEL
MEL/OOL VIA SYD ( NO STOP OVER)
BNE/SIN
SIN/LAX VIA HKG (NO STOP OVER)

What is this additional $75.00 that Qantas is chaging me for- I thought this was simply a mileage based ticket.

Any enlightenment??

Thank you

Maximum 2 free stopovers per region. You have 3 in SW Pacific (AKL, MEL, OOL/BNE). Extra stopovers are $75 each.

Rules here: http://www.hardlink.com/~markdu/OWFiles/OneCirPac.html

I had a similar situation on a DCIR22 last year. But the TA did not pick up that I was not allowed 3 stopovers in USA. It took about 7 months, but they eventually came asking for the extra US$75 for the extra stopover.

Nothing to do with miles or segments, but stopovers.
