New AA Platinum
I am a new AA Platinum and was wondering do I have to do anything to get benefits on OW carriers like apply for a special card or will all benefits be given based on the AA card?
Where can I find a complete listing of OW equivilant benefits?
Thanks

You have to do nothing, just show your card when traveling OW partner internationally, and you have access lounge.
There are other benefits, check http://www.oneworld.com/satellite/sa...fm?teamcode=aa

The handbook for newly minted PLTs is on aa.com at http://www.aa.com/content/images/AAd...tinumGuide.pdf and you should understand it!
It also says for more details on OneWorld at www.oneworld.com and more details on PLT status at http://www.oneworld.com/satellite/sa...fm?teamcode=aa tho sometimes the benfits as an AA member to a OW airline seem a bit confusing .. what works in the US does not work on another carrier .. and vice versa. When in doubt ask.
Now .... about the new phone number you need to use to get priority access (there IS NO Platinum Desk just a highest priority phone switch) look at the aa.com pdf above.
You PLT card is critical to carry with you at all times .. especially when traveling with a OW carrier. They many times demand to see it .. as their reservation system may not have your status.
Lastly, there is the secret handshake and greeting you will need to learn .. but that will come with your welcome package. I don't want to influence you with the EXP version because we are more special than you!
Guess the only other thing you have to do .. is requalify in 2006!

The oneworld benefits are USUALLY automatic, but as a previous poster stated - you MUST carry your card with you... Had a rather nasty experience trying to get into the CX lounge in Manila. Absolutely wouldn't let me in without that dang card...
