Best Oneworld FF prog for this trip
Hi!
A friend will be travelling:
BA 781 Q ARNLHR 1830 2005
BA 017 Q LHRSIN 2125 1720+1
GA 868 L SINSGN 1145 1245
GA 869 L SGNSIN 1340 1630
BA 017 Q SINMEL 1920 0420+1
AO7875 Q CNSHKG 1215 1720
BA 028 Q HKGLHR 0035 0635
BA 778 Q LHRARN 1120 1450
GA Flight will be issued on GA document. BA/AO flights can be issued on either BA or QF document. What FF program should he post these flights to? He is already a BA member but with no points on the account.
I'm thinking QF is a good option as they give 1 mile / flight mile. BA seem to give only .25 mile / flight mile for above class. He lives in Sweden, and with QF he could use his points with SK. Any other suggestions are appreciated!
Regards
Johan

As Serfty has already stated, AO flights will not earn any points, even on the QF program.
You are correct that your friend will earn 1 mile for his LHR-SIN and SIN-MEL sectors on BA, however my understanding of the QFF rules (quoted below) suggests that his HKG-LHR and ARN-LHR return sectors will only earn .25 miles.
Even so, QFF is probably still best, given he can burn what few miles he earns on SAS.
British Airways (BA)
GKLMNOQRSV (Discount Economy) 0.25
Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes.
Exception: Travel in Discount Economy between;
- Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney and London or Frankfurt via Bangkok or Singapore
- Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney and Bangkok or Singapore
- London or Frankfurt and Bangkok or Singapore will earn a Base Rate of 1

Thanks guys, an option is
to use QF instead of AO between CNS-HKG:
QF 707 Q CNSBNE 0725 0925 763
QF 097 Q BNEHKG 1110 1755 333
Would you guys say it's worth taking these extra flight to get about 4500 extra miles? Also how does QF compare with AO in Economy? Journey time is 7:05 with AO non-stop and 12:30 with QF through BNE...

You may start with all seating being allocated at check-in (no pre-seating available on AO).
For QF97 you get AVOD; with AO it's mainscreen movies only.
