ForEx charges
A few weeks ago I added a comment to a thread regarding credit cards' foreign exchange fees, and a respondent asked if I had recent experience with AFBA or CapitalOne, both of which I had opined limited their greed to zero on top of the MC/Visa one percent.
Now, lacking decent search capability (google strikes me as a little bit broad) I'm afraid I can't tag a reply onto that thread. In case it's of interest to anyone, I can say that AFBA still adds nothing above the 1%, at least for safe transactions like CAD. (And apparently used a slightly better rate than what xe.com published as mid-market when I looked that day. The actual hit looked like 0.7%, but surely was the expected 1%.)
