Didn't want to dominate the chatter but fwiw I had it as a bookmark and used it fairly often despite being aware it was out of date. Or maybe because of rather than despite -- if I'd thought it was up to date it would have been less useful and maybe frustrating. As it was(/is): still lots of utility despite the need to bridge the gaps manually -- way less effort than doing it all manually.

OK, I've registered MileageMonkey.net and set up DNS. Needed to know the IP to point it at and was about to ask when I realised one of the DNS history sites for slfft.org may have it (*). So www.MileageMonkey.net (and MileageMonkey.net itself) now points to 77.72.1.98.
SLF: hopefully it's just a simple web server servername change to get www.MileageMonkey.net working with MM as it was before the DNS expired. (i.e. with old data).
Thanks in advance for engaging with this again!
(*: Hey presto, months of patience to use MM and yep.... all along I needed to do was search for its old IP and point www.slfft.org in my hosts file at it. I have it back! Only for me of course but still).

Moderator request: please edit the first message in the thread to strike out slfft.org and note that Mileage Monkey is the current live version
I've released a new version of the oneworld itinerary validator, v0.6
Only slight changes.. Added support for calculating old/new QF Status Credit, and BA Tier Credit earning (thanks Mike!). Also now the tool will display a visual map of the segments from gc.kls2.com. Added MAD-SVO flight, but need to regenerate the flight list for other segments.
Edited by moderator:
It is at: jph.bytestacker.com/award.htm
slfft.allhyper.com/0.95/award.htm
Current version is at Loading...

... note that Mileage Monkey is the current live version
Please use the above link (or the one in my signature) for now. Note that the site is virtually unaltered from 4 years ago, which means that the flight database is from that period of time (e.g. any routes launched/dropped since then, or OW airlines added/removed), as are the OWE planning rules, the FF redemption tables/rules etc. Also various links off the page might be broken.
We'll need to figure out over time what the future plans should be...and feel free to make suggestions. Please do NOT report missing flight routes, airlines, aircraft types - if we are successful in bringing the flight DB up to date, then after then is the time to report such things.
Again ... if anyone has some combination of Javascript experience/GitHub experience/web page design experience/knows where to get flight schedules/plenty of time, then please volunteer!

Most routes are still ok so it's still useful for xONE planning.
The QF SC calculator has been well broken since Simpler Fairer but it would be a pia to program the new rules given the number of tables required.

Disabling the calculator probably best.

mileagemonkey.net is coming up for renewal (I registered it and pointed to a site by SLF back in 2019) so I checked on it for the first time in ages. It's not running. Does anyone care much? Given I don't think anyone even noticed, I'm no sure? I can host it easily enough and expect SLF can wade in to provide the files or set it back up but perhaps there's just not much interest so it's not worth any effort?

I believe SLF stopped supporting Mileage Monkey quite some time ago. I used to use it regularly - it was a great source of planning, particularly for RTW trips. I would certainly have use for it again, particularly as the ONE rules haven't changed much since last it was active.

What Are People Using to Plan RTW Trips
So I'm curious what hacks people are using to plan RTW trips. I have 2 ex-NRT that I have segments left on, but hard to know what will be open this fall. OZ? NZ? Asia? The OW online planner is basically useless. I've been resorting to checking segments on ITA.
