Back up again .. now on new & improved hosting

All,

Thanks for all the kind offers to help out with hosting!

I've needed this little push but I've now completed moving it to a new location ... http://www.slfft.org/ This one I'm paying for so hopefully won't suffer the same fate as the 'free' ones. We did get a good run for our money ($0) out of allhyper .. :)

Note that only the "current" 0.95022 link on that page works at the moment, I'll restore older versions if there is any requirement for them.

thanks,
SLF

If you get itchy feet, or need to find hosting at some future date, let me know - I'll see what we can do (would love to be able to give something back to what is a really useful - free - service).

Thanks for a great tool. ^

Per gcmap post, you might consider changing the "Great Circle Mapper" from gc.kls2.com to gcmap.com

Mileage Monkey is a wonderfully useful tool.

Two corrections:

It states that oneWorld do not fly LHR-RUH. BA do five times a week with 4 classes of service.

It shows HKG-SIN as having no First Class. CX currently offer it on two flights per week.

I have noticed this frequently when using mileage monkey.

Something I have also noticed is that ISU (Sulaimaniyah International Airport) is an "unknown city."

MM routes & rules are now many months out of date
Last update was 15 May 2009 http://www.slfft.org/0.95022/award.htm

0.95024 is available for testing

I am hoping 0.95024 will be right up to date with routes, cities, airlines etc.

Please post any feedback here, the 0.95022 version is still available for now in case of any difficulties with the new one, Sorry about the delay!

Thanks - a reload on the page should take care of the RJ/j. Can't really do too much about future plans automatically; need to wait for them to come into play - but can add manual updates. Have QF rolled out W to all their 744s?

Other cabins I know I'm missing (and have assumed are Y only for now) are below. If anyone can tell me what cabins the below aircraft have (the routes shown are an example of where they are used) then I can get that fixed for all routes using those aircraft.

Thanks for keeping this up to date SLF ^

The new ORD-HKG route on CX is showing as invalid. It is in the schedules now but doesn't start operating until Sept 1st. Do the flights have to actually be 'in service' now for this tool to pick them up?

Thanks Moomba, yeah .. flights are pretty much current. I've added in ORD-HKG and back with CX 77A equipment, so that should help. It's relatively easy to add new routes & aircraft in; I just need to know about them - so thanks!

I've also addressed the earlier comments re SIN-BKK, SYD-PER/744, ISU, RUH, HKG-SIN/F, AMM-BKK/j and gcmap (many thanks!)

What's been interesting to see is that most of the different sources of information have their own inaccuracies & limitations; i.e. missing routes, incorrect aircraft types etc. At least we can get MM updated when we see these issues :)

As ever, do a shift-reload or whatever your browser needs to force a full reload of MileageMonkey after each change, otherwise you might be using cached data.

Thanks SLF.

Now how about seasonal flights? For the last couple of summer seasons AA have added a ORD-ANC flight using the 757. :)

QF is starting SYD-DFW with 744ER. Return goes via BNE.
QF is dropping SYD-SFO.

QF is starting 3 class (jwy) on SYD-NRT and SYD-SIN-FRA.

Thanks; SYD-DFW and DFW-BNE added as 744. SYD-SFO will fall out automatically at the right time, but I appreciate it is confusing for forward planning.

I'm not familiar with QF's W plans .. is that NRT/FRA 3-class using a different aircraft type? What's happening there? Are they changing from fjy to jwy, or something else? MM works the cabins by assuming an aircraft type (e.g. 773 or 744) has a fixed configuration per airline (i.e. 744 is always fjwy), so if the aircraft type 744 maps to different configs (e.g. fjwy, jwy) then it means either a lot of manual tweaking, or we just live with it.

BTW, it is probably most useful for people who use MM to know that a given route no longer has F, rather than if a JWY config is being introduced (i.e. to complement an existing FJWY service). (I assume!). I've no real idea what QF's plans are on these routes, so having this feedback is great!
