Tool for finding Oneworld Award Availability...Is there one I can access?
Does anybody know if there is a tool that gives award availability for One World carriers? Since I make quite a few changes to award itineraries before booking them, it would save me making a phone call to AA and holding up their AAdvantage agents.

I'm quite new here so others may be able to give you some more help.
I find that tools such as http://www.flyaow.com/classcwt.htm are a good starting point but by far the most accurate way seems to be to register for each alliance and then look up award availability directly on each. Both ways are free!

No on line tool allows you to view all partners.

For instance, say I wanted to check award availability MAD-MEX, with IB, ... how would you do that on LAN's web site?

These are the steps:
1 go to: http://www13.lanchile.com/espanol/un...s/indexNew.htm.
2. enter your ff number and password
3. in the following page choose the first option
4. in the next page write MADRID in the slot for "Origen" and Mexico City for "Destino" (it does not accept city codes like MAD or MEX). Choose the dates for outbound and inbound, for example March 20 and 27. Choose your class (economy=turista, ejecutiva=business, Primera=first).
click on "buscar vuelos".
5. in the next page will show any direct flights avaliable for that date (in any OW airline) to your destination, and some indirect flights. Click on "Verificar disponibilidad y kilometros requeridos". If you get a red spot in the flight selected, it means there is no space avaliable, choose a different flight or move to a different date until you get confirmation.
6. If the spot is available for a Lan award, it will be availiable for any other OW partner.

Do you actually get a result for March 20-27?

Are you sure you are using the right link?
http://www13.lanchile.com/espanol/un...s/indexNew.htm
It is not the Redeem an Award section of the LAN website.

I've been trying to use the link above for the past few hours and once I enter my Lanpass number and password I get an error page stating:
"The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request."

On a related note
will expertflyer.com help check the availability of OW partners for A/D?
I bought a subscription, but was not able to find JL first award availability (which happened to be A class)...however, I'm hoping it's a JL/Sabre issue.
