New Iberia "Business Plus"

Been hearing bits and pieces here on FT about the new IB Biz product found on the A-346 aircraft, which I have yet to experience. Anyway, I finally found some official mention of it on their corporate web site:

Although Iberia’s new Business Plus class will not be officially launched until the second half of 2005, the new 352-seat Airbus comes equipped with the newly designed ergonomic seats that recline to make fully horizontal beds. Installed in a rigid structure, the seat-beds do not impinge on other passengers’ space, and an unusual degree of privacy and independence is assured by a separating panel. There is also a space for storing personal belongings and an individual variable-intensity reading lamp.

The new seats also come equipped with double pillows and back massage that is adaptable to movements and facilitates the proper rest of the spinal column, along with an adjustable head rest, fold-down arm rests, and pull-out leg rests. The seats can be programmed to remember the passenger’s preferred position.

The new Airbus is also equipped with the most modern communications and entertainment systems, which are operated with a touch-screen. Business Plus passengers can communicate with the ground by telephone, email, or short cell phone messages, which reach their destinations in less than 15 seconds.

Slightly OT, but is anyone else against the move toward touch screens? They end up all grimy with fingerprints.

I'm against the move toward planes not being cleaned properly. A touchscreen will get no more ore less grimy than a keypad, and is considerably easier to clean. You just happen to notice it more.

Update on current biz class product

Hello all. did a search on this website but only found info greater than two years old. Going to fly NY-Madrid next month on Iberia 340. Can anyone provide some comments on their current biz class seat in the A340. I fly AA alot in biz onthe 767/777 so if there is a comparison that would help I'd appreciate it. Many thanks
