Not sure I fully understand the problem, but I can assure you that LAN flies both SCL-EZE-SCL and SCL-LIM-SCL several times a day.
Are you trying to set-up an around the world ticket?

South America flights
The 1W carriers that you could use in South America are Lan Chile, Lan Peru, American, BA and Iberia. You need to get route maps for all of the airlines. I have listed the web links for the various airlines about 3 pages back on this 1W site. I have to admit that not all is "Buenos Aires" about the route maps (sorry, EZE is the code of Buenos Aires, a well known joke of the flying community)
Whilst LAN is quite clear in its maps, remember that there is an exception with one of the LAN group airlines, Equador I think but I don't have my magic files with me. BA does fly from Sao Paulo to alternately Buenos Aires and Rio de J. You can certainly ticket on the Sao P to Buenos Aires flight if you wish.
Can someone help me with AA and IB internal south america flights here?
The AA site may be showing some combinations which are codeshares with LAN or they may be doing it themselves. Let's see what the south america specialists have to say.
DNW, Viajero where are you..

Thanks for the reply, YES i'm trying to incorporate the destinations in an around the world ticket. Sorry i'm a novice at this, I've tried to speak to British travel agents and the BA site in Scotland (Bloody English company) for advice but the tell me the same thing!!!!! there are only limited destinations in S America, I want to incorporate SCL-EZE-and LIM in our rtw trip but they say its impossible as the destinations are not served by the appropriate airlines. Ive noticed on the site there are members who go to the destinations mentioned on the owe package BUT with scotland's BA "its improbable" (the term they enjoy using !!! Personally I believe its because they believe; as the scots are gods children other countries will realise how much we can- and will-corrupt) anyway I was informed to download the OW link from AA and it states on the timetable the routes exist yet when I speak to BA they say "its improbable" its costing me more in tel calls than buying an additional ticket, if you can advise that would be fantastic Cheers Mark

My advices are to try a different airline and edit the diatribe out of your post.
Lan Chile does indeed fly between Santiago and Lima or Buenos Aires and Lan Peru flies between Lima and Buenos Aires. Both are available under all the Oneworld products having to do with South America. As Spotwelder said, the only two Lan products you cannot use are Lan Dominicana or Lan Ecuador. Talk to one of the other airlines you will be flying and you should have no problem.
Again, I urge you to edit your post and tone down the rhetoric about Scots and/or Brits. Maybe you dont like them, but there are a lot of them on this board who are very nice people and who contribute a great deal to our discussions.

don't ask them, tell them.
I think that the OP would be much better off doing some research before calling the res desk.
Have a look here, find out what flights work for you (actually get flight numbers, making sure prefixes are LA or LP, and dates) then go back to BA and tell them those are the flights you want.
Also, spend an hour or three looking through some of the threads here on planning RTWs - everything you could possibly want to know is here.
wrt to the racial slurs, as both a Brit and a Scot I didn't take any offence. However, being clearer in both his query and his formatting would help his response rate.
Finally, don't despair - we flew LGA-MIA-UIO-SCL-GIG//PUQ-SCL-IPC-PPT last year. It is possible !!

PS speak to BA in Cairo - they're much more knowledgeable about RTWs !

Download CX OW timetable
Download the Cathay Pacific Oneworld timetable to your PC and plan your trip using that. It includes all Oneworld airline flights (not just CX) and is the best of the downloadable timetables. Much better to use than any other source (at least for the trips that I've planned). Go to http://www.cathaypacific.com/intl/pl...le/0,,,00.html
