Circle Pacific Stopovers, Transfers and China
Hello,
I am planning a trip using Circle Pacific and I have some questions. I read the DRS pages and searched this forum but I want to make sure I have the right understanding.
We will be going to various points in Asia on CX, probably requiring multiple transits through HKG. Is this when it says "TRANSFER" and "NOT MORE THAN 3 TRANSFERS AT ANY ONE CITY"?
I don't quite understand when something is counted as a "STOPOVER". Is this basically a city you stop for more than 24 hours?
We will probably also go to China. Can we use CX for it now it flies to PEK? (China is not on the originating/terminating list but probably is permitted as a stop?)
Sounds like surface/ARNKs are fine as long as it is not crossing the ocean?
On CX and QF, are availability pretty good in business class? That is, should we need to change dates/flights, would it be difficult?
Thanks.

Thanks guys for the advice.
This kind of trip (including domestic segments in Australia) would be very hard to to on Star, right? I think it is perfect for OneWorld but the guy I am going with hopes to use Star.
Thanks.

Star also offers a Circle Pacific fare which is pretty similar to OW's. You would obviously have some different hubs/routing though. With the exception of SQ, I think the OW airlines flying the circle are much better than the Star ones.
