Thanks for the updates; while ExpertFlyer gives the current base costs; this Spreadsheet saves much time in researching routings/costs. :)

The price in December may be found in these two posts:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...4&postcount=80
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showp...7&postcount=82

With an expertflyer subscription you can access the prices at any time. Comparing the prices for lone3, done3, to expertflyer quotes in dollars and converting the dollars to SR rupees they appear to be quite close if not accurate.

Thanks. For some reason I was unable to open (or download) the circle pacific rules. Perhaps due to the space in the name?

Apologies - now fixed.

Weary,
I'm getting a bust in the FX Refresh.

Issue appears to be that the Oanda data is now in a different format and dumping to a different cell set.

To get the data to work correctly
You need to go Insert -> Name -> Define
and change fx ref to
=FX!$Q$9:$U$63

WearyBizTrvlr Feb 27, 2007 11:04 pm

Did they change it again? In the last version I had already changed the FX Refresh which I hoped would solve it for a while.

Many thanks for your suggestion! It'll be probably be a few days before I can upload a new version, but I need to fix the ex-CMB anyway...

I have just received word that OWE fares ex-HKG will be going up around 10% across the board for tickets issued on or after March 20th... Not sure about other cities, but won't be surprised if they go up as well....

gosh, another 10% ??!! I thought it just went up some 10% less than 6 months ago, like around Nov/Dec timeframe ? another 10% now ?

Gardyloo Mar 14, 2007 3:17 pm

There's plenty of idle/unfounded/hunch information out there that there will be something of a price realignment effective April 1 or shortly before/after in light of the new OW partners joining. If the recent past is any indication, it's more likely to be spot hikes rather than anything profound across-the-board. But who knows? Currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, and Gordon Brown's mood can have as big an effect on prices as some base fare hikes.

As they said at the Pacific Dessert Company (RIP) - The Future is Uncertain - Eat Dessert First.

christep Mar 14, 2007 6:35 pm

The ex-HK price is now published on cxagents.com. It is indeed +10% on all A and D fares (but apparently no change on L). Effective 20 March.

Note that the Fare Rules as issued by CX for flights ex-HKG for Global Explorer, Oneworld Explorer and Circle Trip have been reissued effective 19 March removing BA Connect from the list of BA affiliates and with the new ex-HKG prices. I have uploaded the latest rules in the usual place: http://www.christen.demon.co.uk/CXRule/

Methinks this is the first of a number of price changes.
I'm picking Japan to have the biggest increase.

Very useful spreadsheet. The fares quoted in USD ex Romania / Tcheck Republic are real? What is the best Departure city in Europe for DONE3 ?
Thanks for the help

The spreadsheet appears to be self-explanatory in this regard. I'm surprised that you have headed for an ex-BUH price ahead of, say, ARN.

Romania is 29th most attractive origination point. The prices from MRU even right thru India are a no brainer for D or A class travel. Beyond that, it's debatable. I wouldn't suggest that any European point of origin is in the least attractive.

Fyi, the an ex BUH DONE3 is GBP 3258 / USD 6332; contrast with DONE 4 exMRU at USD 4188 / GBP 2566 and everything else in between...

WearyBizTrvlr Mar 19, 2007 2:34 pm

I'll echo virtualtroy's points. Unfortunately there really isn't an attractive place to start DONE3's in Europe anymore.
