Wouldn't be too big of a surprice to see the same 10% increase across the board for D/A tickets throughout Europe... |
I've updated my RTW Fares spreadsheet with the latest ex-Egypt prices as noted above.
Also note that I've added as an experiment a way to update exchange rates automatically. On the Intro sheet there's a button at the top; pressing it will make it fetch the latest exchange rates from Oanda. You'll have to enable macros for this to work. I'm not sure how robust it is, so no guarantees. The one big known problem is that it does not seem to work on the Mac at all. I'm looking into it, but am a bit stumped. |

No recent changes. (My heart stopped when she said, EUR 5299 for DONE4 ex-IST, but then it became clear that while she said the pricing was in Euros her screen was doing the conversion for her into USD, which makes the published Euro price the same.) Germany and France €6750 (up from €5600!) Turkey €5999 (up from €4968!) this one matches the email that I received from Bremen a few days ago. |

Confirmed by TA in CMB
Alas she didn't say by how much as I don't have a xONEx pending (yet) Happy wandering Fred |
Here are the numbers for ex-HKG. At a quick look it seems that it's +10% for all D/A fares with most L fares unchanged.
Code:
oneWorld Fare ex-Asia Revise Effective 01SEP06 |
I'm in the final stages of obtaining a DONE3 ex-CMB and have asked the CX fares people there twice about pending fare increase but have not received an answer. Does anyone know the new ex-CMB fares?
If the fares do increase and I ticket beforehand will I have to pay the new fare if the ticket is revised (other than date/time) later? |

General fare increase or just for Asia?
Does anyone know if the 1 Sept increases are general fare increases or just out of Asia? Thanks.
|
The only references (so far) have been ex-Asia.
|
seems like the price increase doesn't affect trips starting mainland China e.g. PVG/PEK ?
|
Does anyone have prices for ex TPE and BKK?
I didn't realise the DONEX products are not that much different between HKG/TPE. But of course it is wiser to do ex TPE as you can add in one mroe side trip if you head back to HKG on the last intercontinental sector |
No-one else seems to have mentioned this... from CXAgents:
oneWorld Fare ex-South West Pacific Revise Please be advised that oneWorld Explorer Fare, Global Explorer Fare and oneWorld Circle Trip Fare ex-South West Pacific will be revised for ticket issued and travel on/after 01 September 2006. Last ticketing date for existing bookings is 15 September 2006. |
Does anyone have any info on how significant a discount for a group L or DONE fare?
