Am I correct in assuming that flying on LHR-SYD stopping at Singapore is considered as one segment in a RTW (single flight number)?
Yes.
Provided you don't stopover in Singapore (i.e. get off the plane there and catch the same flight again a day or more later).

This is a great one segment flight to earn TPs on (240 in CW). Is this an anomaly or are there other one segment flights that yield similarly high TPs (and if so are they listed anywhere on FT)?Originally Posted by pandaperth

Perhaps there's a relevant tread in the British Airways forum?
I am not aware of another BA route that has a stop in it and will yield such high TPs. I was looking at this from a oneworld Explorer perspective and how to maximise TPs. I am familiar with some of the longer routes yielding 160 TPs (e.g. DOH-JFK with QR and HKG-JFK with CX), I suspect LHR-SYD may be an anomaly.Originally Posted by pandaperth

Be aware that it still counts as the continent of Asia to pass through Singapore (or even if you take a nonstop from Perth to London) as far as I understand.
This is our planned (DONE4) route OSL-xDOH-JFK-xLAX-SJO-xLAX-HNL-xNRT-SGN-xNRT-BLR-HKG-AKL-SYD-LON-xDOH-OSL
I assume there are no issues with a Singapore stopover with the SYD-LON flight (returning to Asia for a stopover)? As I understand the oneworld Explorer allows two intercontinental departure and arrivals.

No problem with regard to the two allowed intercontinental arrivals and departures from AsiaOriginally Posted by ademanuele

BUT
If you stopover in Singapore then your 1-segment SYD-LON becomes two segments (SYD-SIN and SIN-LON), pushing your itinerary to 17 segments, one more than is allowed.

Not stopping in Singapore so looks like we are good to go. My only concern is whether Class D seats will be available on SYD-LON, will do some investigating on EF.Originally Posted by pandaperth
