I assume there are no issues with a Singapore stopover with the SYD-LON flight (returning to Asia for a stopover)? As I understand the oneworld Explorer allows two intercontinental departure and arrivals.
No problem with regard to the two allowed intercontinental arrivals and departures from Asia
BUT
If you stopover in Singapore then your 1-segment SYD-LON becomes two segments (SYD-SIN and SIN-LON), pushing your itinerary to 17 segments, one more than is allowed.
