Hello,
I'm buying my sister and her husband flights for their vacation on AA. They don't normally travel via planes, and I don't expect them to travel soon again. So if they get AAdvantage miles for the flights, it would probably just expire in 18 months.
Is there a OneWorld partner the miles can be credited which won't expire or can be redeemed for retail gift cards of small amount? Or the earned miles can be transferred/pooled to another (my) account?
Thank you!

BA has family plans. They could certainly pool their miles, though not sure you'd want to get on it since it restricts who you can redeem Avios flights for.

If you decide to go with it, you'd want to make yourself head of household and have them register using your address.
