JNB Increase

It appears that JNB fares have increased.

New BA fare that corresponds with what I see in the online booking engine.

Well spotted.

For DONE4:
Quote on BA 102000.00(ZAR)

Quote on CX 88410.00(ZAR)

Quote on QF 88410.00(ZAR)

Even at CX's 88410 ZAR, it is higher than my last ticket booked in 2016(77000 ZAR).

So MPM remains cheaper than JNB, OSL, NRT.

not just JNB, I believe many other locations have gone up in price, like MPM and a few others I have checked.

only QR and RJ still carry the old price as of now.

No surprise, alas

Any other currencies on the verge of a devaluation?

I've been pricing a few different routings of 15 to 16 segments and consistently been in the 117-118,000 ZAR. I dropped to 13 segments and routed via DOH instead LHR and priced at: DetailsTotal:98,013.29 ZAR or about $1,500 usd cheaper (includes fees and taxes).

Did the fare go down or is there really that much difference in 2-3 segments and avoiding LHR?

Add: 15 segments still in the 98,000 range. Unfortunately the ZAR has fallen to 13.6 from 14.5 in the last month.

Probably lower BA fees, also possibly avoiding UK APD if any of the LHR stops were stopovers instead of connections. What are the various routes?
