OW Visit Passes

Hi - I'm a bit confused by the OW Visit pass program. I'm planning a trip to South America, so I think all of the interior flights will be on LAN. I will be flying into Rio and then making my way over to Lima and Cuzco.

1) Do I have to enter South America and depart from the same city to be eligible for the Visit Pass program?

2) Are the distances between cities calculated in direct miles? (ie - from Rio to Lima is via SCL. This adds considerable mileage onto the flight)

3) Do I need to fly a certain # of segments to be eligible for the visit pass?

Thanks for any help.

No. Miles will be calculated as RIO-SCL and SCL-Lima as they are different flight numbers on LAN. Only where the flight number stay the same can you calculate the direct point to point miles (even if stops enroute somewhere)

Other airlines in South America like TAM - Varig also have an air pass system. It all depends on the places you want to visit
